**SPECIAL 20% OFF 4 SESSIONS
I specialize in treating patients in a systems approach, integrating the whole person, one on one, hands on in a private room. I have left the "therapy mill" approach of treating multiple patients at once by using aides, and techs behind. I utilize evidence based care and technology, including biofeedback, while emphasizing education and home program compliance. All patients have my cell phone number and email and we build a plan around their lifestyle.

DRY NEEDLING
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
WHAT IS IT? A safe pain relief technique for patients with neuromusculoskeletal pain, acute or chronic, and movement impairments. Dry needling is a treatment performed by skilled, trained physical therapists, certified and credentialed in Dry Needling. A thin monofilament needle penetrates the skin and treats underlying muscular trigger points or pain patterns.
IS IT THE SAME AS ACCUPUNCTURE? No, it is not the same as acupuncture. Dry Needling and Acupuncture do use the same needles, but those are the only similarities. Dry needling is performed by different practitioners with different credentialing. Acupuncture is based on Eastern medicine and Meridians, while dry needling is based on pain science, anatomy and physiology based in Western medicine.
DOES IT HURT? Not really. Some tissues are more sensitive than others, but if it is painful the needling can be stopped and then returned to in few minutes and it is usually less painful at that point and the needling can be continued.
HOW OFTEN ARE TREATMENTS PERFORMED? Depending on the condition and the individual, some patients receive one treatment only and some patients come once per week or as needed. Each plan is tailored to the individual patient’s needs.
